GIAD 2017

This was one of a kind.Kenya Airways was kind enough to allow the girls to experience Aviation from the technical side of things.

The girls were taken for a trip at the Kenya Airways hangars,so that they can get a glimpse of how aircrafts are maintained.

They also got to interact with KQ female technicians and engineers.A great dose of inspiration that was,and what better way for the girls to show that they’ve been there, done that, and literally got a T-shirt for it.
When they grow up and pick up careers in aviation, they’ll have such days to recall.Where their passion was stirred up

Bungoma Baptist Girls Highschool

They say charity begins at home.

We as WAI Kenya chapter know this too well, and we also set reach out to the communities that made us who we are in our various walks of life, and society at large.

The 16th of March 2019 saw us set foot at the Bungoma Baptist Girls Highschool in Bungoma county, lead by an alumnus of the school, now a WAI member and an Aircraft Maintenance Technician as well,Elsie Bwia.

We take pride in mentoring girls through school visits and organizing career days where girls can meet, interact and ask as many questions as they can about Aviation in general. What better way to hear this than from their older sisters in the field?
